Our Trainers

 

Rachel Hodson has fifteen years experience as a communications trainer. She received her BA from Brighton Polytechnic in England, her Postgraduate Certificate in Education from Hong Kong University and her Masters of Science in Training from Leicester University.

Rachel has taught in Hong Kong and Macau since 1987 designing and delivering courses for employees in the following fields: retail banks, investment banks, hotels, major auditing companies, trading companies, retail companies, transportation, property development, government departments and education.

From 1995 - 98 Rachel taught Study Skills to undergraduates and Business Communication Skills to MBA students at The University of Science and Technology. Rachel set up Paradigm Training in 1998 having identified a niche between what education provides and the workplace needs.

Rachel is a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Human Resource Management, The American Society for Training and Development and the Women's Business Owners Club. In addition she has been a tutor on the Diploma in Human Resource Management, which is a joint venture between Hong Kong University, Leicester University and the Hong Kong Institute of Human Resource Management.

Rachel has also given talks at the Hong Kong Club and the American Club.

Tracey Duggan was born in Hong Kong and educated in the United Kingdom. She has a Royal Society of Arts (RSA) Diploma in Commerce and a Certificate in ELTA awarded by the RSA and Cambridge University.

The academic institutions she has worked for include The British Council, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Caritas Adult & Higher Education Centre and The Sylvan Learning Centre.

Tracey's corporate language training includes developing and delivering courses for: The Bank of East Asia, CMG Insurance, KCRC, The Excelsior Hotel, Edward Kellar Ltd., Shanghai Commercial Bank, Marks & Spencer and Shui On Construction. In addition she has taught Business English courses at both The British Council and PolyU's Centre for Professional & Business English where she is currently conducting a course for The Hong Kong Society of Accountants.

Tracey is an external examiner both for the Business English Cambridge Certificate (BEC) and the Business Language Testing Scheme (BULATS) Certificate.

One of Tracey's recent projects was to be part of the team conducting BULATS testing of Cathay Pacific's staff as part of their organization-wide benchmarking scheme.

To complement her teaching and examining work Tracey is also the Education Supplement Researcher for the South China Morning Post.

Diana Cox has been teaching in Hong Kong and Europe since 1989. She gained her BA from the University of Warwick and her MA in ELT from Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She also has both the RSA Certificate and Diploma in Teaching English as a second language.

Diana has worked for both tertiary institutions and businesses. Her corporate work includes conducting courses for Panasonic, Pacific Link and HSBC.

Diana specialises in voice projection and presentation skills workshops using the techniques of theatre and drama to build a rapport with the audience. She has conducted these workshops at the Polytechnic University, Cathay Pacific and the Academy for Performing Arts. These skills she gained in her ten years as a professional actress in the United Kingdom and as a studio manager for BBC radio drama.
